Spring Social – Sat 4th May

Join us at the Beacon for the 2019 Spring Social; a talk by guest speaker Amy Williams MBE, British former skeleton bobsled racer, Olympic gold medallist and Team GB Ambassador.

Originally a track athlete for her local running club, Amy began training in skeleton after trying the sport on a push-start track at the University of Bath. Amy went on to not only win the only medal for Great Britain in the 2010 Vancouver Games, but also Great Britain’s first Gold Medal in an individual event for 30 years, and the first by a woman for 58 years.

After Amy’s talk, we’ll also include medals and trophies from the Sportshall, and Junior and Senior XC seasons.

Meal

After the Beacon closes at 9:30pm, some of us will decamp to a local restaurant. If you would like to join us, we will post details about the meal separately.
