Swindon Cross-Country

A fantastic turn out at the 4th fixture in the Oxfordshire XC League helps our campaign for promotion

It was great to have the Swindon course back in the fixture list, and we found a proper muddy, hilly XC course to welcome us!

Really loved watching our hardy juniors out running and special congratulations to Harriers, Kelvin, Ruth, Kerry, Magdalena, Fiona & Fran doing their first XC.  They found themselves jumping in with both feet!

Thanks to all our Harriers who turned out to compete as part of the team.

Womens Team

The women’s team continued their promotion charge.  It was almost certainly a record turn-out with eleven ladies competing for the Harriers, and a brilliant team spirit.

Clare, Lucy and Ruth led the Harriers home, and the team continued their run of form, which left them 188 points clear at the top of Division 3.  Impressively, with one remaining fixture this season, there’s only one team with a better score across all three divisions.

Mens Team

The men’s team had a strong turn-out despite illness and injury, and maintained our 3rd place in Division 2.  Sam, Tom, Terry, Simon, Jason, Paul & Marc led the Men’s team home.  All eyes will be on the March fixture to see if we can catch Newbury.

Juniors

A good turn out from the juniors and great to see impressive performances and smiles emerging from the mud.  Congratulations to our Juniors, Alice, Sophie, Toby, Mia, Harriet, Stan, Freddie, James, Harley, Burt, Ross, Reuben and Anna

The support from Vanessa, Angarhad, Angela, Tom, Terry, partners and parents was really appreciated and a great boost for the Harriers battling the mud and hills on the course
