Vets League – Match 2
Women’s 5000m
Match 2 was held at Tilsley Park on Wednesday 20th May. There was a stiff breeze which made for ‘interesting’ conditions, but our athletes gave a very good account of themselves on the night.
Provisional results are in, and subject to final confirmation the following athletes have set either New Club Records, or replaced existing records in their age categories:
Clare Hazell W55 had a fantastic evening, clocking a new PB for 200m which also replaces Kathryn Leech’s club record for 200m set in 2022. Clare also replaced Marion Jones’s 800m club record from 1994, and set a new club record for 5000m.

Kerry Wilkinson’s triple jump was a PB and new club record in W35.
Kathryn Leech’s Shot Put set a new club record in W60.
Jason Heywood set a PB in 200m M40.
