British Masters Steeplechase Champs

The track season for British Masters (athletes over 35 years old), culminated at the BMAF Championships in Derby, on the 12th September.

Simon Leech (WHH) and Ana Ramos-Villaverde (Radley & WHH) both travelled up to compete in the 2000m Steeplechase, the final race of their outdoor season.

Nicely judged pacing from both, and no impromptu swimming in the water jump, meant that Ana won the senior women’s race in 8.56 min, while Simon’s PB of 8.12 min got him 4th place in the V60 Men.

Fans of ‘Power of 10’ may have spotted that impressively, Ana’s currently ranked 1st senior woman in the  UK, and Simon’s ranked 2nd V60 man in the Steeplechase!
