Qualify for the draw for a place in the world’s most prestigious marathon
A place in the London Marathon is up for grabs for all Harriers taking up the challenge of the club’s Multi-Terrain Championship.
But for those of you who prefer the shorter distances, trail running in the open countryside along the bridleways and footpaths of our beautiful countryside is not to be missed.
This year-long multi-terrain championship is made up of the best trail races in our local area, where we want to see the green and white vests out in force in friendly completion, racking up as many points as possible. And that’s the idea: run in at least five races and put yourself in the frame to win one of categories below.
- Champion Woman (under 35)
- Runner-Up Woman (under 35)
- Champion Man (under 40)
- Runner-Up Man (under 40)
- Veteran Woman (35 and over)
- Runner-Up Veteran Woman (35 and over)
- Veteran Man (40 and over)
- Runner-Up Veteran Man (40 and over)
- Most races completed
Susy Escuder and Simon Leech are looking to defend their crowns, so let’s all give them a run for their money and don’t forget that one of us will be in line for the 2024 London Marathon.
The March challenge is a virtual run – information on the facebook page. But in April, you have a choice of two 10ks.
