Vets League match 3

Michael B in 5000m and Kerry W dominating the High Jump

Match 3 of the Vets League took place at Tilsley Park in Abingdon on Thursday 12th June. We again fielded a small team, with athletes taking part in Long Jump, High Jump, Javelin, 200m, 1500m, 2000m Walk and 5000m.

Michael B made his track debut running in 5000m and Michael S had a good return to track in 200m, with both earning PBs. Ros B posted a SB in the 2000m Walk, and Kathryn L had a SB throw in Javelin. WHH performance of the evening was Kerry W’s dominance of the Women’s High Jump, winning it outright and setting a new club record W35 in the process. Congratulations everyone! The final match of the season will be Friday 4th July in Swindon. Please let me know if you’re interested and tell me which event you’d like to do: Track – 100m (M&W); 800m (M&W); 400m (M&W); 3000m (M&W); 4 x 200m Relay (M&W).
