2016 Road Running Championship

Following feedback from a number of Harriers, we’ve refreshed the club championship this year, with a few notable changes.

Rules

Winners – There will be a men’s and women’ champion (and trophies). This will be the Harrier who achieves the maximum points from their best 8 results from the listed races. (small print on the Club Championship page)

Marathon Place – In a change from previous years, we will be putting ALL Harriers who complete 8 races into a draw for the London Marathon place.

Races

See below list of championship races. We’ve added parkrun as fun element and to encourage a big turnout. Your best 8 results count towards the silverwear, so please get booking the ones you like the look of. I’ll be updating your positions and ‘gently’ encouraging throughout the year.

May. Chalgrove 10k (2nd May)

May. Cottisford 5k (date not confirmed)

May. Wallingford 10k (22nd May)

May. Oxford Town & Gown 10k. (15th May)

2x Mota-vation. TBC

Jun. CPM Thame 10k. 26th June. 9:30am

July. Horton Classic 6m. (date TBC)

July. Park Run Newbury. 23^rd July.
