This charming little route starts in a small car park on the road between Long and Little Wittenham. It first winds through Neptune Wood, then skirts the outside of Paradise Wood, goes slightly uphill to visit a small arboretum, passes through the Earth Trust HQ (a conservation charity – this is all their land) to climb Wittenham Clumps for the magnificent views! It then drops into Little Wittenham and returns to the start, first on a 400m stretch of road, but then through a gate on the left, into a long field running the length of Paradise Wood. There is limited parking but no amenities. Sometimes sheep are grazing the long field at Paradise Wood and access is suspended – check the Earth Trust website or Facebook group.
