Typically an hours training usually under the supervision of Club Coaches, Tom King and Angela Briscoe.

We welcome any aspiring athlete aged ‘Year 7’ upwards.  New starters are welcomed on the first Thursday of the month.  This allows the coaches to talk to the new starter and fit them into the training program.


We usually have three groups of seniors

  • 7.00-8.30 min/mile pace
  • Intermediates – 8.30-11 min/mile pace
  • Welcome Group 11 min/mile plus pace


Alternate weeks the Runleaders usually provide a structured training session including a track session at Tilsley Park, hill reps and other fun activities!

Competitive Juniors.  7.00pm

A track session under the supervision of Club Coaches, Tom King and Angela Briscoe at Tilsley Park, Dunmore Rd, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 1PU

Intermediates.  6.30pm

Competitive Seniors.  6.45pm

6.30 – 7.00 min/mile pace.  Several Harriers join Dave Parson’s training group in Abingdon at 6.45pm on Tuesday evenings for a tough interval session.  Please contact Ian Lambourn, Paul Jegou or Simon Leech if you are interested in joining.

Autumn/Winter 2017 Training Plan.  –  Jonathan has put together the training plan for any Harriers wanting to build from a 5k to a 10k or alternatively from a 10k to running a ‘Half’ over the winter training.  Please download it and come and join in with the structured sessions on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
