Spring Social.  Fri 8th April Easter Social

We’re planning an exciting new spin on our Spring Social.  In previous years we have held the popular quiz evening, but this year we’re welcoming Mara Yamauchi on Friday 8th April to give a presentation on life as an elite athlete and we’d love to see you there.

Mara Rosalind Yamauchi is a British long-distance track and road running athlete. She currently holds the second fastest time by a British woman over the marathon at 2.23.12 and is a twice Olympian.

Having spent many years training and competing as an elite athlete she is now working as a running coach, writer and speaker. Her goal is to help others to get the very best out of themselves, whether that is in running, work, or other aspects of their lives.

The event will be held on Friday 8th at the cricket Club in East Challow.  Food will be available.  Please email me on castel.fairlie@tesco.net to confirm your interest.

Run to the Pub – Summer 2016

Each summer, we usually organize an social run on Sunday, (with a couple distance options) finishing off at the pub for lunch.Run to the Pub

This 11th Sept, a group of Harriers met at The Greyhound in Letcombe.  We had great weather and an excellent run on The Ridgeway.  We enjoyed some delicious food at the refurbished Greyhound, and they kindly ignored our dishevelled appearance!  With some great company, it made a perfect Sunday run!
