I joined the Harriers in 2008 when we moved to the area. I’m a father of two school aged children, and a big fan of all the work the club, coaches and volunteers do encouraging the youngsters.
When I joined, it was to make new friends and learn running routes around the area and it certainly delivered on both those things. However, I was amazed that, in my late 40s, running with other Harriers also helped me improve my running and PB’s.
The Vale of White Horse is a great area for running. I love to get onto the trails around Wantage and can often be found on The Ridgeway at the weekend. My favourite races are either the team ones like The Ridgeway Relay, or the quirky ones like ‘Race The Train’ or the ‘Underround’ London Tube Marathon.
