Harriers are targeting promotion in the Oxfordshire XC this season

Congratulations to all you Harriers! We’ve seen a huge growth in the numbers regularly competing and getting PB’s. We’ve got a strength and depth in our teams that allows us to punch above our weight among the other clubs.

Over the Autumn/Winter season, we compete in the Oxfordshire Cross Country League which runs from Nov – Mar, with a fixture on the first Sunday of each month. The club pays for entry, and we can enter as many Harriers in our team as we like.

The first runners to finish are counted for the team scoring.

men’s team – 7 runners
women’s team – 3 runners

The women’s team are on fire! After two fixtures, they lead Division 3 looking a surefire bet for promotion. The men’s team sit third, and promotion to Division 1 is within reach.

The strength and depth of the club is critical to keeping consistent results when the Harriers we normally rely on are ill, travelling, etc. Please pop the following dates in your diary and email Ian at Ianlambourn@btinternet.com and me (simonmarcleech@gmail.com) that you’re interested to be part of the team, then simply run the fixtures that you’re able to.
