New Years Day Handicap

Our New Years Day Handicap gives Harriers the opportunity to compete on a level footing!

Each runner is given a handicap time based on a recent 5k or 10k time.  The slower runners start first, the speedier runners start later (some much later!).  The goal is that all will finish at exactly the same time.

Providing an opportunity to clear your head after the previous nights celebrations, the Handicap starts and finishes by the Lord Nelson Public House on the edge of Wantage. The first runner sets off at 11am.  More info.

If you wish to participate on Wednesday 1st Jan, please contact Gareth Smith  (garethsmith1082@gmail.com) providing either a recent PB for 5km or 10km.

Note that the course will, at best, only have limited marking. See the above link for the course details and a map. The event is aimed at senior and older young athletes.
