Cornbury XC

It was wonderful to see so many Harriers out for our first cross-country of the season. Sunshine, hills and mud proved a perfect start to the season.

As usual, White Horse looked strong with 35 Harriers running at the opening race, including excellent debut runs from new Harriers, Lucy & Tom, Dean, Oliver, Elliot and Abigail. (It’s unclear whether they are still cursing my name).

The U11 juniors looked looked especially impressive with 8 runners and Will (pictured) finishing in 3rd.

The men fielded 16 runners, or two teams, with Matthew Q the highest finishing Harrier in 4th place.

Lucy R headed up the women’s team, finishing in 5th. Martha finish was particularly impressive given that she was running for two, as our most pregnant Harrier of the season (so far!)

I’m excited to see how many Harriers will be joining for the December race in Swindon.
